Norma Jeane's Lakeview Resort

Norma Jeane's Lakeview Resort is a comfortable guest house with a personal, cosy flair, set in extensive gardens with spectacular views of Lake Mutirikwe. The rooms are situated in the midst of the gardens, most have their own veranda with lovely views of gardens and lake. All rooms and the main building are furnished in colonial style, friendly and comfortable. Meals are served in the dining room that is appointed with beautiful, lovingly tended antiques.

Nehimba Lodge

Nehimba is located close to the border between Main Camp and Sinamatella areas in the midst of Hwange National Park on a private concession area. The lodge is in an ideal position to show guests around the different natural habitats of the park. All rooms have en suite WC and shower, showers are outdoors, mosquito nets, electricity, all the rooms have a view of the waterhole.

Sable Sands

Sable Sands is situated on a private concession bordering on Hwange National Park within the Sikumi Forest and overlooking the Dete Vlei. The lodge is newly renovated and reopened in 2012. All bungalows have en suite bathrooms and verandas, mosquito nets, solar lights.

Pamushana Lodge

Pamushana Lodge lies in the midst of the private 130,000 acre Malilangwe Wildlife Reserve that borders directly on to Gonarezhou National Park. The lodge is situated on the crest of a mountain under shady trees with spectacular views over a lake and the surrounding wilderness. Architecture and decor are extraordinary, everything is thoroughly thought-out and functional in its luxuriousness. The landscape of the Wildlife Reserve is fantastic, the wildlife a constant presence. Pamushana's guides are excellently trained and very experienced.

Ruckomechi Camp

On a huge private concession, Ruckomechi Camp is situated directly on the bank of the mighty Zambezi River with fantastic views of the mountainous landscape of the escarpment in Zambia. The tents are spacious with very comfortable furnishings and luxurious en-suite bathrooms. 

Elephants frequently wander through the camp and past the tents on their search for the delicious seedpods of the Winterthorn or Faidherbia albida trees that grow here in abundance.

Rhino Safari Camp

Have you always wanted to overnight in a wooden chalet on stilts, with an airy thatched roof and open sides that allow a cooling breeze to waft through your room on typically hot Matusadona days? Have you always wanted to have a siesta on your bed whilst watching elephants on the shores of Lake Kariba? Or to wake up in the morning to gaze directly into the blood-red sunrise through your mosquito net?

Nhambo Lodge

Nhambo Lodge is a part of Chilo Gorge Safari Lodge and lies on the bank of the Save River with fantastic views of the broad riverbed and the wilderness of Gonazrezhou National Park on the far bank. Frequently, elephants cross the river here or enjoy a drink and bath within sight of the lodge.

The four chalets each have one bedroom for 2 guests, with en-suite bathrooms. A communal kitchen and a little swimming pool is available for the use of all. The family lodge has 3 bedrooms for 2 guests each and 2 bathrooms. A fully equipped kitchen is in the lodge, as is a cosy lounge and a private veranda.

Nyamepi Camp

Nyamepi Camp lies directly on the bank of the Zambezi River with a view of constantly evolving sandbanks and the mountains on the Zambian side of the river. There are communal showers and WC.

Animals very frequently wander across the site, elephants looking for water or food, buffaloes, hyenas and honey badgers. You need to pay special attention to the monkeys and baboons that steal everything that is not carefully guarded.

Somalisa Camp

Somalisa Camp is located deep within Hwange National Park on a private concession area. The camp is shaded by huge acacia trees next to the Kennedy Vlei. From Main Camp, the drive into the Park to the lodge will take you about 2 hours, but it will certainly never get boring because the journey will be your first game drive. All tents have their own en-suite bathroom with indoor and outdoor showers, bathtub and a wood stove for the cold season.

Somalisa Acacia is situated directly next door to Somalisa, offers the same standards of accommodation and service but has only 4 tents of which 2 are specially made for families and are particularly spacious.

Somalisa  Expeditions is a little further away from Somalisa Camp and is meant to be a little more rustic with 7 East African style tents and en-suite bush-bathrooms.

Rhodes Nyanga Hotel

The hotel is directly next door to the Rhodes Museum in Nyanga. Cecil Rhodes spent a lot of time here during his last years. His holiday home is integrated into the hotel. Decor and furnishings have been kept in the English colonial style, as have the gardens.

Shashani Matobo Hills

Shashani Matobo Hills Lodge is situated in the midst of the spectacular rocky landscape of the Matobo Hills on the western border of the park. The lodge is accessible from Bulawayo-Plumtree Road, a short drive from the small town of Figtree.

10 individually and very privately located bungalows offer breathtaking views of a huge granite hill and the unique landscape of Matopos.

A swimming pool provides a refreshing break, a fireplace in the open bar ensures cosy warmth in the evenings. There is also a barbecue area with a campfire where you can exchange experiences and ideas over a crackling fire.

From the private veranda of your room you can watch antelopes grazing in the green valley below the lodge. A rocky overhang with San paintings and antique grain stores is a leisurely stroll away from the lodge. If you feel more energetic, you can also climb the rock opposite the lodge. The view is definitely worth the effort.

From Shashani Matobo Hills you can take trips to the nearby National Park to spot and track rhinos, admire the famous cave paintings or visit the grave of Cecil John Rhodes.

Parrot Lodge

A warm welcome awaits you at Parrot Lodge with its home from home atmosphere and exotic room decorations. The owners speak German and English and set great value in making their guests comfortable. They will gladly assist you with information, directions or bookings for activities as well as for your further travels in Zimbabwe. The lodge's garden is a paradise for wild birds as well as for the parrots that live here. 

Parrot Lodge is equipped with solar power and batteries, hence the lodge is independent for several hours should the electricity grid fail.
