Nyamepi Camp lies directly on the bank of the Zambezi River with a view of constantly evolving sandbanks and the mountains on the Zambian side of the river. There are communal showers and WC.
Animals very frequently wander across the site, elephants looking for water or food, buffaloes, hyenas and honey badgers. You need to pay special attention to the monkeys and baboons that steal everything that is not carefully guarded. The park can be difficult or impossible to reach during the rainy season between December and March. Bringing fruit, particularly citrus fruit is strictly prohibited. Elephants can smell them even in a closed vehicle and will try anything to get at them.
