The Hide Safari Camp
Deep in the park, The Hide Safari Camp is situated on a private concession area. The drive from Main Camp to the lodge takes about 1.5 to 2 hours on a gravel road, but getting there is usually already a game drive in itself. From Main Camp you drive through the teak forests at times, then again you carry on past grassy open plains. The lodge is situated in the park near Kennedy vlei and not very far from Ngweshla Pan, a waterhole that is very popular with animals and visitors alike. All tents and bedrooms in Tom's Little Hide have en-suite WC and shower, some have additional outdoor showers under the stars or a bathtub, ceiling fan, electric current. Many rooms have a view of the waterhole. In addition, you can sleep in "The Dove's Nest" tree house in the bush for 2 people only. Tom's Little Hide is ideal for small groups and families and is booked only as an entire camp. It is ideal for up to 6 adults and 4 children. Children of all ages are welcome here.
The railway line between Bulawayo and Victoria Falls is not far from the lodge, thus trains can be heard occasionally, even at night.
