Save Valley Conservancy

Covering thousands of hectares this harsh lowveld area is ideally suited for wildlife to thrive, and with international backing has also provided an excellent area for the distribution and protection of endangered species such as the Lichtensteins hartebeest, the roan antelope, and especially the black and white rhino.
There are rocky kopjes and riverine plains, mopane woodland and acacia thickets to be explored. Huge baobabs tower over the scenery and imprint it with their stark silhouettes. In each of the diverse ecosystems, you can experience the excitement of perhaps seeing the buffalo, the elephant, the impala, the rhino that all occur here. Traces of ancient culture are everywhere, trees grow out of granite built walls from ca. 14th century and nobody knows how old the few rock paintings are.
